Early Birthday Present

There is only 1 month more before YiWen's 2 y/o birthday. Overall it has been a great experience for me and my hubby to raise this gal in this 2 years period. Laughter and frustration are overfilled us. She never failed to suprise us with her gimmick and skill. Although, we yet to confirm her birthday party on coming month (due her daddy's busy schedule), we bought her advance birthday present first la.. make her happy first.. hehehe. Oh ya.. popo also bought her advance bday present. Since the presents are bought online, so i asked popo if she wanna buy anything for her since if buy more, then can get either free postage or more discounts mah.. hehe.. So there we go...

Brand NEW Kitchen Set and light and sound from Mommy ...

AND

3-Colours Horse Rocker from PoPo

Actually this Kitchen set has been a hitz lately. Saw many blogs also selling.. and many are sold out! I guess it must be very HOT SELLING .. hehe.. i hope this kitchen will improve Yiwen's imaginative and communication skill.. Actually, Yiwen loves to see me cooking.. everytime i'm with my favourite wok.. she will want me to carry her to see what i'm cooking. I'm glad that she is curious... so, with this kitchen set, she can play masak masak and hopefully she will loves to cook when she grows up.

Popo told me that she also pening dunno what to get for her cucu.. i told her she loves activity toys.. things that rough and create great movement .. ar! then she will loves it. Coincidently, I saw the horse rocker which is pretty cheap .. only RM120 from the same blog i bought the kitchen, she loves to ROCK! The children clinic in Bercham and also in Specialist Hospital have this rocker (not the same design), she will fight with other kids to ride on it. Sigh.. pening jugak .. so young already start to fight fight.. alamak.. So, i told PoPo to get this for her birthday present, play till she sien at home, and then won't fight with other kids liao.. ehehehe.. PoPo is so happy as she no need to crack her head to think of what to get for this gal.. YIPPIE!

Will post more pictures of the birthday presents once it arrived! Should be tomorrow or the day after. Look like Mommy is more excited lo!! ehehe.. but then now headache on how to assemble the kitchen when it arrived.. hubby not around pulak.. ai yo yo .. Anyway, mommy will try try first.. :P

Teluk Batik Welcoming Yiwen

I was packing our luggage a day before our vacation. Look at her.. she already tak sabar sabar to depart liao.. :)

Reached Sitiawan on time around lunch time (thanks for our Garmin GPS). We went to Ah Pek Lee Kou Hock Seafood @Kampung Cina which recommended by AXIAN to fill up our tummy. The ikan bulus and big clam in soup is super nice! Must try this!

After we checked in to our apartment at Marina Cove Resort, got our clothes changed, then we head straight to the Marina Cove Water Park. Look how happy YiWen with her ladybird float inside the lift.. hehehe..

Here we are! Splash splash water! Anyway, YiWen was afraid of any of the pools.. hehehe.. we tried carry her few times inside the pool, she screamed her lung off! I guess the water was too cold for her.. tu la, never bath in cold water before.. that's why lo.. ALAMAK!

Look at how afraid she was inside the mushroom shade! Aiyo.. she can't wait for her father to release her so that she can escape from the splash splash! **Slap forehead**

Noon nap, after 2 hours fun time at the water park. Sweet dream babe!

Conclusion: Extremely happy and we had lots of fun vacation at Teluk Batik! For sure will come again.. let me train YiWen not to scare of cold water first.. hehehe.. :P

New SwimSuit

Bought this swimsuit for YiWen for more than 2 months already. But never had chance to bring her to swimming pool to show off.. Everytime, she open the drawer and see this suit, she will simply try to wear it while her clothes are on. This time, i helped her to undress and wear this suit just to please her. Funny to see her on it coz her look is just too boyish for this sexy suit. Hehehe.. :P

Cute Banana Muffin for Toddler

I always wanted to make some sweet dessert for my little YiWen, but never have such "Ohmm" until i saw this recipe from Cooking Grave by Amy Ong. Her banana muffins look so tempting! I think my muffins are lacking baking powder. Should put more to make it puff up. :P

I found the muffins a bit starchy. According to my mum, she said i put too much flour. I guess so.. next round, I'll try to reduce it. This is also the first time my hubby gave me a hand in the wet kitchen. He helped me to mix the barter well. Of coz, need to sacrify my ears.. he told me all his hero story on how he taught ppl to make cake/muffin and blah blah blah.. merepek aje.. :P Btw, my hubby loves muffin. He told me he save money during his study time in Europe just to buy a muffin.

Though, i think my muffins has failed (due to starchiness) but my YiWen loves it! Look at how enjoyable she was.. :D She is really a big love of my life.. :)

For those who wanna try this, visit Cooking Grave by Amy Ong for the recipe ya!

Sunday Cooking: Herbal Eggs (Char Yip Tan)

Since Sunday, no need to cook for lunch or dinner, so thought of spending my time in my little paradise (wet kitchen) making herbal eggs instead.

Very easy even for first timer.. :) The difficult part is just on seasoning.. you got to make sure the taste of the soup is nice and tasty enough to be absorbed into the eggs.

Ingredients:
1) 1 pack of "char yip tan" herbal&spices. I use JIA JIA LE brand.. not bad! The smell is so pungent!
2) 25 eggs. Wanted to make 30eggs but too bad.. my slow cooker just can't fit that much.. :S
3) Light soya sauce
4) Dark soya sauce
5) Salt
6) Rock sugar

Steps:
1) Hard boil the eggs
2) Crack the eggs shells with spoon
3) Put the herbs and spices packets at the side of the cooker
4) Put the eggs into cooker and pour in hot water until the water level above the eggs
5) Seasoning with soya sauce, dark soya sauce, salt and rock sugar to taste
6) Boil it in at least 4 hours and left it for over night for greater flavour.

All the best !! Enjoy!!! :)

Commentor LJP: Nice! It tastes just nice!
Commentor TML: Nice! Clever girl!
Commentor FIL : Wow! Even the yolk absorbed the flavour already! Very nice!

2 tablespoonful of butter
2 tablespoon plain flour mix with 1/2 cup water
salt & white pepper

Method :
- Heat butter in a pan & saute diced onions till soft.
- Add mince chicken, stir to break the lumps and all the chicken turns white.
- Stir in the mixed vegetable, button mushrooms and potato.
- In another bowl, mix mushroom soup with one cup water, stir until smooth.
- Pour mushroom soup mixture into the chicken, add more water if necessary.
- Add in flour that has been mixed with water. This is to thicken the filling.
- Cook at slow fire.

Spoon in enough filling into aluminium foil cup, cover the top with a piece of pastry. (I used the KAWAN pastry)
Bake @ 160 deg C for about 30 mins or until done.
