Name Plague from Aunt Jphier
Name Plague of YiWen and Yijing
I'm never good in ART. It has never in my blood before. When I was in secondary school, when it was time for art subject, I will think every possible way to skip the 3 hours class. Since I was a school prefect, I have the privilege to go out maybe for prefect meeting, discussion with discipline teacher or etc etc. And of coz I always get extremely low mark in this subject. If able to score 60 , that's already a miracle. Ya! That BAD! :P
I'm a very technical person,(that's why I ended up in this career) if you give me blank paper and ask me draw a human, i think i can only sketch you skeleton.. :P But if you give me ugly photo, i can touch up it nicely in PhotoShop. So , message to my kids.. don't ask mommy to help you in Art.. if not the more i help.. the chances of you failing is higher.. :P LOL..
When my colleague, Jphier told me that she does painting during her free time and even has a collection of it, it just struck my mind, that maybe i can ask her to do something cute (at very reasonable price) for my daughters as well. See the above? Name plagues made of paper clay and the plate frame is made of thin wood. She put a lot of effort to have it done. Actually it is quite tedious, she told me, each name plague must be coloured with base, then paint a solid paint on it, carefully touch up it and outline the feature to have it look 3D and finally varnish each letters with acrylic varnish. Last step is, glue it up to the wooden plate. Completed within 2 weeks time. Not bad uh?
I'm not going nail it to the door as I don't want to see it broken into pieces when YiWen bang the door.. (u know kids can be rough at times). So, maybe i will nail it up on the wall and then nail up photo of YiWen and YiJing underneath each name respectively. I'm sure gonna be nice ... :D

Genting Trip
Finally, myself and hubby have guts to bring our 2 girls for trip. Yeah! Is GENTING trip.. long awaited trip .. :)
Why need "guts"? Actually is mommy who don't have "guts". I just don't have confident to handle these 2 gals at once especially at places which I'm not familiar. But thinking of it, if I don't try I won't know for real if I can cope or not. So here we are! GENTING! Ho ho.. :P
Hubby booked a deluxe room at Theme Park Hotel. With 1 queen size bed and a single bed. Very cosy .. and big enough for kids to move around.

Sister sister!
YiWen was extremely happy during the entire trip but just too lazy to walk. Maybe she loves to sit on Yijing's new stroller. Poor me, I have to carry 8kg baby up and down the Genting. Shoulder and spine also "senget" already.
This bergigi-satu-baby was very happy too.. laughing and got excited everytime see her sister running around. Oh, she loves balloon too.. :D
This picture taken by YiWen when i was feeding her sister. Quite a good take by a 2+ years old gal , uh? :P
Brought along my mini slow cooker to cook porridge for Yijing... yum yum..!
See! YiWen played catch and run game with Papa inside the maze garden.
So cold.. so wet! As though inside the cloud.. Spending lot of time at outdoor enjoying the cold breeze.
Luckily both gals came back without running nose..
Generally, a very enjoyable and happy trip for our family. Will plan to go somewhere further next year. Just can't wait!! hehehehe!

HAPPY Teacher's Day.. Let's party!
YiWen will be having a Teacher's Day party today at preschool. Great that she is overly excited over it, as I do not need to scream and shout in the morning to drag her to school. She happily change into uniform, wear her shoes, went into car and once reached school, smillingly bid me Bye-Bye with a lovely flying kiss... LOVE to see you happy! Hope you enjoy your PARTY , darling. :)
Our conversation on yesterday nite.. :

Cough cough finally gone!
YiWen been coughing for almost 3 weeks and lately (finally) it is gone. No more phlegm and dry cough.. Very happy.. during that sick period.. I brought her to see 3 doctors.. and everyone are prescribed different medicines for her cough.. i see also pening! Luckily she is not those kids who hate to eat medicine. In fact, she loves it very much. At time, she will remind us to give her medicine too!
Even after seeing 3 doctors, child specialist some more, all also can't cure her cough. Beh tahan already, she been coughing till vomit. Pity her so much.. everytime she vomit, she will sure cry aloud. I'm sure she is suffering too.. So , i trying to get help from Internet, and one mommy actually suggested Dylsem .But too bad it is not available in Malaysia. But i printed this website out and show it to a pharmacist nearby my house , and she found alternative cough syrup that has same active ingredients as Dylsem. It is for cough and also flu. But she said "can take one even without flu". :) Then she also said it will cause drowsiness. She also mentioned, drug with cause drowsiness are more effective especially on kids. When kids rest and sleep more, they will recuperate a lot faster. True enough! My girl took it for 3 days.. she is now cured! My hubby actually love this drug too... make her go to bed early so he can have peace of mind watching tv..! Right, honey? hehehehehe :P
This is superb potion for cough and flu :P
Rolling everywhere...
Even since Yijing able to full-slip at 3mths 3weeks, she has non-stop practicing it. Now she is so super expert with it, she is rolling everywhere around the living room and sometimes to dinning room.. She loves to roll to underneath the coffee table. Hiding herself there... Her jie-jie will shout at her.. "YIJING ar!!" Asking her to come out.. or "MOMMY, YOU SEE!!" (Pointing at Yijing underneath the coffee table) ... These 2 girls are really entertainers to me.. :)
Monkey see monkey do.. YiWen also practise rolling with her mei-mei.. **slap forehead**

She can smell , see and recognize me!!
Yijing is now at 5mths 2weeks old.. weighing at 7.42kg. Surely a good weight to me. :) She is also a fully breastfed baby. Not sure how long more i'm going to feed her with breastmilk.. but i do hope i can extend to as many months as possible.. hopefully the breasts "chang hei" a bit.. :P
Lately, I found Yijing is able to see and recognize me. She does not let anyone to carry her...even if she lets, it will only be for a moment. Once she sees me walk past or heard my voice.. then she will start crying.. babies are so smart.. they just knew!!
Yijing does not really like sarong... the most she can sleep on sarong is just 1 hour (in quiet room), just enough for me to pump milk and take quick shower.. she just knew when will i be free... :S Though taking care of her is quite tiring for me, i'm loving every minutes of it. She loves me to carry and sing her to sleep.. without much struggle.. :) To me , she is a lot calmer than her elder sister, YiWen. Nevertheless, mommy loves both of you till the end ... **muak muak**
Obsessed!
The title of this post said out loud and clear... See picture below? What is she wearing on top of the pyjamas? YES!! Swimming suit... whenever she saw it on sofa/cabinet/wardrobe , she will ask us to give it to her.. yes! Just give it to her.. she will wear it on herself... She is so obsessed with it that she wear it in preschool and even in her bedtime! When PIL picked her up from preschool.. sometimes, she will have swim suit on top of her casual wear... funny or not? I don't know if her frens or teachers got laugh at her or not.. **slap head**

Keep it up darling! Proud of u!!
So much phlegm... kof kof kof..
Ever since YiWen entered day care (full-programme), she has been sicked for countless time. Sick.. recuperating and sick again... SIGH! Luckily my company covered spouse and children medical fees, else sure pokai liao.. :S This round.. she been coughing for 2 weeks... heard lots of phlegm in her lungs.. so doc suggest to go 1 time nebulizer in Specialist Hospital. Frankly speaking, i never seen such treatment before.. and of coz this is first time for YiWen too. Before nebulizer session start.. i told her to hold and breath in as usually.. she nod and said "ok" many many times.. in that special room.. it is painted with cartoon all over the wall and 1 big LED tv showing cartoon show.. very cute and nice place for kids to enjoy..
The whole proccess, is so tiring for me and YiWen, thanks to her non-cooperative attitude.. this is expected! She struggle , kick, cry and shouting non stop.. My gal is a girl with big attitude. When she dislike then means no no ... Since this is for her goodness, i have no choice but to carry and hug her tight.. scolded to diam diam inhale the medicine... very bad bad experience.. i don't wish to go through it again.. :S
KOF KOF KOF.. pls go away!!

Giant Baby
YiWen on YiJing's sleeping basket.
See this giant "baby"? She is getting cheekier lately. Whenever she saw i carry mei-mei... she will ask me to "pau-pau" aka carry her. How to carry 16+kg toddler during confinement ar? Usually i will sit down and ask her to sit on my lap and hug her.. consider carry lo..
If i breastfeed mei-mei.. sometimes she will ask me for nen-nen.. **slap forehead**
If she want me to follow her to somewhere, but i'm carrying mei-mei.. she will push mei-mei away.. is this sibling jealousy??... consider not gua, coz she don't simply do that unless she wants to reach something with my help..
Hmm.. didn't notice my daughter has grown up so much until she squeezed up into this basket.. muahahahaha!

YiWen's Birthday Party
Cutting cake. Her cute wig hair clip has turn YiWen from boyish to girly look.. hehehe..
Mommy and papa love you a lot!
My living room was packed with kids and balloons.. Gu Jie was helpful enough to help me take care of YiWen while i'm busy serving guests. :)
Some photos to share with all on my daughter's birthday party on 4th September. Her actual birthday is 6th Sept. We did a small buffet party for her in our own home-sweet-home with friends, relatives and my colleagues. Very merry indeed. Lots of delicious food, balloons, and presents for YiWen. Though just 2 years old, I'm sure that she enjoyed the night very much. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YiWen! {Big Hugs from Mommy & Papa} :)

Tambun 'Woodlands' Park
Last weekend we brought YiWen to Tambun Woodlands Park at Bandar Baru Tambun. We moved into this new neighbourhood for almost 9 months and this was the first time we visit this park which is less than 1km.

Didn't knew that we have such nice park nearby. This park is courtesy from Total Investment developer for nearby residents. It has jogging track, great landscape for relaxation and picnic, kids have this playground and swing for their playtime.. just perfect. :)
See how happy was YiWen with her swing..

YiWen accept DURIAN ???
Few months back, I gave YiWen to taste durian, but she spit it out. So I concluded that she dislike durian. But yesterday we went to pasar malam and hub bought a small durian just for his own enjoyment (since I don't eat it), I asked him to let YiWen try again, maybe she will take it this time.
This was her response yesterday night. Hub fed her while she watching TV and her hand was holding a piece of guava. She was licking licking her lips while hub adjusting his holding position. kekeke.. :)
It is good to know that YiWen is not a picky eater like her mommy.. :P

Last Sunday..
As usual, we (hubby, YiWen and Me) woke up late at 8-9am.. hehehe.. :P
Went for breakfast at San Chai Restaurant. Ordered Cintan Mee Soup with veggie, minced pork, fishball and egg. Quite healthy right? Shared it with YiWen. She ate quite a lot.. As usual, she loves cintan mee.. :)
YiWen drank my MILO Kosong.. see how comot her face was.. hehe..

Went to nearby market to buy some fresh veggie.. Don't know why this morning i felt like cooking Braised Veggies with Red Fermented BeanCurb.. hehehe.. So, that's gonna be the main course for lunch today.. :)
Her naughty act in the car. (Don't worry, the gear is freed and hand brake was on). Got hissing sound? Ya.. came from YiWen.. she will put that hissing sound effect everytime she play with the sterling.. **roll eyes**
Since my taste bud has temporarily been ruined by blocked nose, I got to rely on my hub to taste the cooking for me. "Enough Nam Yu or not? Enough salt or not?? "
Dah-dang.. hehehe.. my simple home-cooked dish for family..
Here are the ingredients:
Chinese cabbage
cellophane noodles (or glass noodles)
1 carrot, sliced
1 carrot, sliced
2 sticks dried beancurd
5-6 fried tofu puffs
10 cloud ears (a kind of dried black fungus)
5 wood ears (a kind of dried black fungus)
3 Tbsp red fermented beancurd , mashed into paste
few slices ginger
1 cup water
Thickening:
2 tsp light soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
2 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp cornflour
salt, to taste
a dash sesame oil
a pinch white pepper
Method:
- Soak cloud ears, wood ears, beancurd sticks and cellophane noodles in water until softened.
- Trim cloud ears and wood ears, remove the hard stems. Cut tofu puffs into two halves. Blanch cloud ears, wood ears and tofu puffs in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain well.
- Rinse Chinese cabbage and cut into sections.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok or claypot over medium-low heat. Saute ginger until aromatic. Add red fermented beancurd paste and stir constantly, until fragrant. Toss in Chinese cabbage, increase heat to high. Add carrot, mushrooms, cloud ears, wood ears, beancurd sticks and 1 cup of water. Cover and cook until all ingredients turn soft, stir occasionally. Check the water and replenish, if necessary, with boiling water.
- Add cellophane noodles, stir and cook until softened. Pour in thickening and cook to your preferred consistency. Serve hot.
Beside this I also boiled lotus stem soup and added 3 fried eggs.
No meat for Sunday, but it is definitely not pure vegetarian meal as there were lean pork meat in the soup and also I don't think egg is a vegetarian food neither.
But, overall the food was more than enough for 3 people in a family.. :)
